What this extension does
GPT Detector for LinkedIn is a Chrome extension that scans the visible text of LinkedIn posts in your browser and highlights phrases that match common ChatGPT writing patterns. All detection runs locally in your browser.
Data collection
This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:No post content is sent to any serverNo browsing history is recordedNo user accounts or identities are trackedNo cookies or tracking pixels are usedNo analytics or telemetry are collected
Data processing
All text analysis happens entirely within your browser using JavaScript pattern-matching. No data ever leaves your device. The only data stored is your on/off preference, saved locally via Chrome's sync storage API.
Permissions
Host permission (linkedin.com) - Required to read post text on LinkedIn pages and inject visual highlights.Storage - Required to save your on/off toggle preference.ActiveTab - Required to communicate between the popup and the content script.
